Red laser pointers are everywhere, and even green lasers have become pretty common, so what do you do to stand out from the crowd? Even newer than blue lasers is the Blue-Violet Handheld Laser, with a wavelength of 405nm!

Blue-violet lasers are made with Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors, which emit a 405nm violet light beam (close to the ultraviolet range, on the border of light wavelengths visible to humans). This violet beam produces bright blue fluorescence similar to a blacklight (and therefore a blue rather than violet spot) on many white surfaces, including white clothing, most white sheet paper, and projection screens. On ordinary non-fluorescent materials, and also on fog or dust, the color appears as a shade of deep violet. These lasers are based on the same laser diode technology used in Blu-Ray drives.

Our class IIIb Blue-Violet handheld laser has a powerful maximum output of <10mW. Comes in a beautiful felt presentation case. Uses 2 replaceable AAA batteries. The barrel measures 6.25" long.

DANGER: This item cannot be marketed as a laser pointer. NEVER point directly into eyes or look directly at the laser output.
